Marketing Strategy of Patel Engineering

Let’s dig deep into the marketing strategies of Patel Engineering and understand how they are moving forward in this fast-running world.

Segmentation, targeting and positioning

Patel Engineering divided the market into 3 segments namely infrastructure, real estate, and asset ownership. Infrastructure includes government projects like hydropower, transportation, waterworks, urban structures and micro tunnels.

In real estate, they have done residential and commercial works. And finally, under asset ownership, they worked on power, road and transmission work. They have been giving trustworthy solutions to their customers who were having complicated construction difficulties.

The target customer of Patel was urban civilisation. All the construction taken by Patel were high-budget projects and government projects which helps the country to grow faster in every aspect

And positioned themselves as one of the best construction firms in India and also in many other nations. Patel completed the whole civil engineering work for the Durgapur Steel Project in collaboration with Cementation (UK) in 1957. It was the largest contract ever granted to a single agency.

Today they are dealing with huge projects not just in India but all around the world. Patel Engineering has accomplished about 340 projects in India, Bhutan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Africa, Greece, and the United States, in addition to the active projects.

Marketing Campaigns

As it is a construction-based company it has not done any marketing campaigns so far, yet it does some CSR activities

The company’s founder Mr Arjun K. Patel has established Kunvarji Mulji Kelavani Trust and it also has a franchise namely Sharda Vidya Bhavan from which young girls and married women enhance their skills and opt for the vocational courses offered by the trust.

Then, Mr Rupen Patel started Arpan Welfare Foundation through which they support educational institutes all around the world to develop future leaders.

Every year, workers of Patel organise a cricket match with another firm to generate money for the ‘Magic Bus’ charity. It is a non-profit organisation that has employed a unique Sport for Development programme to empower children and youth in areas such as gender equality, education, health, leadership and livelihood.

Social Media Marketing

Patel Engineering has various social media accounts on different platforms such as Linkedin and Facebook. They opened an account on Facebook and have only the basic information on that page. But it is advised to have updated information to have good traffic for the website and increase its reach.

It also has an account on Linkedin which is far better when compared to Facebook, it has every update of the work that company is working on. And it is also being updated at regular time intervals. As it is being active account it has 14k followers.

It would be great if the company is active on other social media platforms which are trending such as Instagram, Youtube and Facebook.

But if it was active on all the social media platforms and show its quality works to people, it would help the company in boosting more trust and loyal customers.

Influencer Marketing

The company does not use influencer marketing and has not tied up with any social influencers or celebrities to promote its brand.

Ecommerce Strategies

Patel’s has no eCommerce platform as their product is not suitable for such a platform.

Mobile Apps

The firm does not have a mobile app. It would be great if the company has one because today the world is running in hands (mobiles) with more advanced technology. So I would suggest there should be a mobile application for the company through which they can interact with consumers and develop themselves.
