A new problem statement for 2020
Our founder, Karan Shah, discovered that being an institute for basic training in digital skills was just not enough anymore. IIDE needed to do more. Way more.
In a casual conversation with his mentor, Mr. Rohan Mehta, CEO of one of India’s largest digital marketing agencies, Kinnect, Karan learned that digital agencies are facing a huge issue hiring senior managers. Managers or senior managers are supposed to not only have technical digital skills but also managerial capabilities with great communication skills. Skilled candidates who can strategize business plans with the management and those who can adopt a hands-on approach while guiding their teams to accomplish company goals — very rare to find and at most times would take more than 20 interviews to fit the right fit. Hence realising a huge gap in the talent market.
This meant that although IIDE was imparting the best training for executives in Digital skills for Business, it was now time to create dynamic MANAGERS.
This new discovery came as an exciting challenge and as always, IIDE made the most of it by deciding to offer the best value to his students.
Our new offerings for 2020
IIDE moves from just a training institute to India’s 1st Digital Focussed College – upgrading from short six-month courses to full-fledged year-long Post-Graduate Programmes for graduates and entrepreneurs. IIDE proudly launches 3 new programmes:
- Post Graduate Program in Digital Marketing (PGPDM)
- Advanced Online Digital Marketing Course
- Short-Term Certification Courses in Digital Marketing
The training pedagogy for the courses would begin with ‘strict admissions criteria’ for selecting only the best candidates for the program. There will be very high-quality filters applied in admissions via testing methods in group discussions and personal interviews. Only a ‘very limited number of batches per year’ with super small batch sizes will be offered in the year. Morning classes throughout the week from Monday to Saturday with a 90% attendance will be mandatory.
To ensure high standards of performance, students will need to undergo 600+ hours of classroom training, 150 hours of compulsory internship and present a thesis level capstone project at the end of the program. A successful candidate would be instantly ready to take on a managerial profile proving to be a long term asset to any organization.
